I would like to thank Professor Mossanda for the report on the results of my patient, X (64 years of age).
I believe as a primary healthcare professional, this has been a significant learning curve for me. Regarding the interpretation of the results through Professor Mossanda, I have learned a great deal. I am now considering following his suggested management plan.
My starting points for Mrs. X care will be:
Stopping the steroid Prednisone.
Discontinuing Voren, the anti-inflammatory drug the patient was previously prescribed.
Immediately beginning a regimen of Calcium and Vitamin D.
I will be summoning the patient to discuss these changes. While she is quite traditional and holds strong ancestral beliefs—which can make hospital referrals or external clinical transitions difficult—I intend to continue her management at my level for now.
As suggested, I will also be conducting further cardiorespiratory and urine investigations. I look forward to consulting with you again on the next steps after I have discussed your report and advice with her.
Thank you so much, Professor Mossanda. I really appreciate it—you’ve certainly reminded me of my pharmacology! It has been a pleasure working with you and Pam."
Note: A laboratory interpretation cannot replace a clinical evaluation by a physician. The results must be interpreted together with symptoms, medications, medical history, alcohol use, infections, etc. The following is a general medical interpretation.
